If the alleged player’s involved were under 18 at the time of the alleged incident, then both Hendrick’s County (as the alleged scene of the delinquent act) and Hamilton County (home of the juvenile’s suspects, again if they were under 18 at the time) Juvenile Court would also have concurrent jurisdiction because juvenile delinquency charges can be filed in Indiana in either the County of the act or the County of residence of the alleged juvenile offender. And the IndyStar totally missed the fact when they stated in a recent article that “the hazing event could lead to criminal charges.” Hazing, in and of itself is Criminal Recklessness in Indiana.
